ANNA WIEBE May 25, 1926 - July 11, 2003 Anna Wiebe, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away suddenly on July 11, 2003 at Concordia Hospital. Anna now joins her husband Cornelius in heaven. Anna now leaves to mourn her loving children, Ernest (Norma), Maria (Henry), Annie (Gary), Peter (Helen), Gerhard and Jake (Michelle). Anna also leaves behind two brothers and two sisters, Peter, George, Lena and Susan. Oma will be dearly missed by grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Martin, Graciela, Evelina, Eric, Erwin, Carlos, Marvin, Vernie, Ernie, Irene, Levi, Rosie, Sharon, Norma and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Cory, Devon and Hope. Mom was born May 25, 1926 in Old Chortiz, Russia. She came from Russia, as she was a refugee, to Germany, where she served in the German army in the Second World War. She then fled to Argentina, then to Paraguay and that is where she met Cornelius Wiebe, her beloved husband. They were married June 26, 1949 and were married for 38 years, before tragedy came upon him. Mom and Dad lived a hard life to support their family, but always managed to pull through and were a great example for the children. Ma and Dad were greatly respected for this and encouraged their children to become who they are now. May you rest in peace Ma, you will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 9:30 a.m. in River East Mennonite Church, 825 Panet Rd. Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel and prior to the service. Special thanks to staff of Concordia, 2W for all their efforts and care.
