NOREEN JOHNSTON (nee SHAW) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Noreen Johnston on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mom was born on September 29, 1922 in Brandon and lived in Manitoba all of her life. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Donald and Amelia Shaw of Brandon, MB., her sisters, Margaret Webster, Dorothy Braitenbach, and Bernice Watkins . Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband Raymond Lloyd Johnston; her brother Donald Shaw (Yvonne) of Winnipeg; her daughters, Lee Bahuaud (Guy) of Winnipeg, and Maxine Jenner (Raymond) of Colorado; and her precious grandchildren, Michael and Lindsay Jenner, and Shannon Bahuaud; and numerous relatives. She was devoted to her family and was famous for her exquisite baking. Grandma was known to her grandchildren as "Grandma Cookie." Her buttertarts and saskatoon pies were better than those anyone else ever baked. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff on the 5th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital and also to Dr. T.Wong and Dr. B. Campbell for their long term care. A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway, R3C 3R6, or to a charity of your choice. P. COUTU & CO. Funeral Directors 156 Marion St., 949-4864
