Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORNELIUS (NEIL) HIEBERT On Saturday, July 12, 2003 after a graceful and courageous struggle with cancer, Neil passed away peacefully at his home in Crystal City, MB. Neil was born in Hamburg, Chihuahua, Mexico, on September 11, 1948. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1954. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob E. and Elizabeth (Martens) Hiebert. Neil is survived by his wife Lily (Heinrichs) Hiebert; his children: Karen (Merril) Pauls, Tracey Shillington, Christie (Darren) Nickel, Michael Hiebert; their mother, Linda (Friesen) Hiebert; Lils children: Vic (Candace) Giesbrecht, Teresa (Dan) Walls, Jennifer (Richard) Shrupka; and all his grandchildren. He will also be missed by his stepmother, five sisters, five brothers and their families. Neil will be remembered for the many lives he touched, in church, through his work at Canada Post in Altona, Winkler and Morden, and through his volunteer work. He will be remembered for his passionate faith in God, his love of people, and his strong work ethic. His last days were a precious gift to those he loved. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crystal City Mennonite Church, 4 miles south of Crystal City on Highway 34. Visitation will take place at Grahams Funeral Services in Pilot Mound on Tuesday, July 15, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thank-you to Dr. Cornie Woelk, the staff at the Boundary Trails Cancer Care Unit, and the staff at the Rock Lake Palliative Care Program for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Neils name to the Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9 or the Rock Lake Palliative Care Program, care of Rock Lake Hospital, Crystal City, MB R0K 0N0.
