DANIEL A. GESSELL Suddenly, with his family at his side, our dear beloved husband and father passed away on July 14, 2003. He will be sadly missed but always remembered by his loving, devoted wife of 56 years, Ruth; his sons, Robert (Derrick), and Richard (Carol). He is also survived by his brother John (Stella) and sister Helen Smyth; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Norman, Clifford, Herbert, Louis; sisters, Rose and Elsie. Daniel was born in Gravelbourg, SK, March 26, 1921, and was extremely proud of his Saskatchewan roots. Never so was this reflected than in his loyalty as a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Amongst all things, "Danny" will be remembered for his great sense of humour and jokes. He truly cherished sharing many a good laugh with his family and friends. He was employed with Canadian Bronze Ltd. for 33 years. At his request, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held with Chaplin Lt. (N) Lenora Grauer officiating. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the responders of WFPS and to the medical staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Emergency and S.I.C.U. wards. Extra special thanks to our "angel in white" Elizabeth Henson, RN, for her support and compassion when we needed it the most. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in Daniels honour to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, or a charity of ones choice. Cheers to you Dad!
