Change in time of service DON BUTTERWORTH July 11, 1933 - July 14, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Don Butterworth, on July 14, 2003 at the Concordia Hospital. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years Evelyn; daughters, Donna-Gail (Grant) and Karen (Jason) sisters, Gloria (Stu) and Irene; grandchildren, Sarah and Drew; mother-in-law Doris; and numerous relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Nancy Butterworth. Don began his lifelong career with CP Rail in 1951, retiring in 1988 after 37 years of dedicated service. His passion for carpentry was evident in his tireless work on the family homes and on the family cottages in Rush Bay, ON, where he spent weekends and holidays. He enjoyed playing and coaching various sports and enjoyed many years of golf at the Kildonan and Falcon Lake golf courses. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Concordia Place and Concordia Hospital (Emergency and N2 East) for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Parkinsons Society of Manitoba. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Chaplain John Friesen officiating.
