HARRY J. OBACH Peacefully, with his wife and daughter by his side, Harry Obach passed away at the Concordia Hospital on July 13, 2003. Harry is survived by his wife Tillie; daughter Alexandra (Jim) and their son Brett (Tina), great-grandchildren, Theo and Alek; and his sister Rose Waytowich. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Irene; his sister Anne; and sons, Lawrence and Alexander. Harry was born in Komarno, MB and later with his parents moved to Shorncliffe, MB. He attended Shorncliffe School and as a young man worked in various jobs, commercial fishing on Lake Winnipeg, harvesting in Saskatchewan and mining in Ontario and British Columbia. Most of his working years were spent in the Hotel and Beverage Industry in Winnipeg. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
