Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN M. SLOBODIAN November 6, 1926 - July 13, 2003 On July 13, 2003 John passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre. John grew up on the family farm in Pelly, SK and graduated from high school at St. Josephs College in Yorkton, SK. He then left to pursue a career with the Canadian Pacific Railway in Ontario, where he enjoyed 40 successful years. Upon his retirement from the Dispatch Division, he moved to Winnipeg where he continued to enjoy his hobbies of golfing and fishing. He was predeceased by his mother Anastasia, his father Samuel, his infant brother Edward, his brother Michael, his sister Ada, and sister-in-law Tina. John is survived by his brother William of Pelly, SK, his sister Jean (Mike) Uchach of Winnipeg, his brother Albert (Barb) of Niagara-on-the-lake, ON, his brother James of Winnipeg, his brother David (Yvette) of Winnipeg, his brother-in-law Elvin Schwartz of the R.M. of Rosser and his sister-in-law Mia of Winnipeg. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their kindness and care over the last four years. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
