CLARA LENA BLAKESLEY (PAWLIUK) March 12, 1919 - July 15, 2003 Peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 Clara Blakesley, aged 84, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Dora; husband Norman; brothers, John, Tom, Mike, Fred, Sid; and sisters, Verona, Kathleen and Gertrude. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Janice (Harvey), Glenn (Cathy) grandchildren, Barb (Darryl), Steve, Dave (Joy) Regan and Miles; great-grandchildren, Mike, Danny, Jeremy, Shaun, Alyssa and Amanda; sisters, Jay, Betty, Donna; brothers, Alex, Nick and Andrew; many nieces, including Doris and daughter Jennifer; nephews, cousins and friends, especially Edna. Clara was born in Gypsumville and the family later moved to Winnipeg. She was a very generous and loving person. Her life was dedicated to the care of others most memorably through her many years of employment with home care. We will remember her for her deep devotion to her children and grandchildren, as well as to her faith and her church. The family would like to thank everyone from the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Tabernacle, 591 Sherbrook St. Interment and reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
