RON JEPPESEN Ron Jeppesen, husband of Donna Salby, died suddenly on July 5, 2003 at the age of 47 in Nelson, BC. Ron was born and raised in the north end of Winnipeg. He and Donna moved to Nelson in 1996. Ron had many jobs over the years mainly in trucking and transportation. He worked for Monkman Transport for 10 years before moving to Nelson. From 1996 to 2001/02 Ron worked for VSA Maintenance as a snowplow operator. Ron was a bit of a brawler in his youth but became a kind and gentle man in his mature years. He loved growing roses, was a creative cook and loved music. His love of music was encouraged by his participation in the Winnipeg Boys Choir as a youth. Ron is survived by Donna Salby; his mother Iris Jeppesen; siblings, Mervyn Jeppesen, Sharon Dreger, Diane Logan and Doreen Blair, their spouses and their children; in-laws, Ann Salby, Patricia and Ralph Hansen and their children and grandchildren; and Donna and Rons faithful canine companion Bobbi. Contributions in Rons memory may be made to the Legacy Fund of the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation, 3 View St., Nelson, BC V1L 2V1. Cremation has taken place; no service at Rons request.
