CORA JUTRAS (nee BARNABE) On Tuesday, July 15, 2003, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 89 years. Cora will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Jocelyne (Don) Addison, Rita (Harry) Reece, Suzanne (Shelton) McMullin and Claire (Gordon) Towerzey. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Snyder, David Slator, Mark Slator, Tara McMullin and her great-grandchildren, Tessa Beech, Matthew Beech and Alexander Snyder; brother-in-law Joe Maillard; sisters-in-law, Therese Jutras, Florence Jutras and Yvonne Jutras; nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Alexandre; her two daughters, Elaine and Jeannette; sister Odile Leclair; brothers, Edouard and Philippe. Cora was born in Letellier, MB., in 1914 of Wilfrid and Delima Barnabe. She married Alexandre in 1942 and since that time, has lived in Laurier, Churchill and Winnipeg. In addition to her role as a mother and homemaker she was employed with the Federal Government (DND and DPW) for 20 years. Moms passions were her family, travel and bingo. Throughout her life, she was determined, courageous and gracious. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to send a special thank you to the WHRA Home Care program for their excellent services since 1995 and to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion over the many years. Prayers will be held on Thursday, July 17 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons, at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18 at St. Emile Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Annes Rd., at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Rene Peeters officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
