MARGARET MARIA URBANOWICZ (nee KUNIGSMAN) Peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2003, at the age of 81, Margaret passed away at the Misericordia Extended Health Facility. Mom was born in Poland, immigrated to Winnipeg along with her husband Florian and daughter Eva. She worked as a nurse at Holy Family Nursing Home until her retirement. Mom took pride in everything she did. She was an avid gardener who was gifted with a green thumb. She was a wonderful cook and loved making dinner surrounded by her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Florian, and a sister and brother in Poland and Germany. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Eva Woodbury, her grandson Adam, her special niece Zofia and husband Marek Labuda and their children, Matthew and Jennifer, along with other family in Canada and Europe. The family would like to thank the staff at the Misericordia Hospital. A special thank you to Rose Budzinski, a heartfelt and loving friend to Margaret. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating.
