Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROONIE IRENE PAULSON Peacefully at Oakview Place, on July 16, 2003, Roonie Irene Paulson, aged 87 years, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Roonie is survived by one brother Peter, numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth Paulson; sisters, Violet, Hazel, and Esther; and brothers, Charles and Felix. Roonie was born at Victoria Beach, MB on September 9, 1915. She resided there until the family moved to Balsam Bay. Roonie worked at various jobs - delivery service, post office clerk and store clerk. She was never far away from her birth place working and living in Victoria Beach, Pine Falls, Beausejour, and Grand Marais. Roonie loved to visit with people especially over coffee and a few games of Skip Bo. She had many faithful friends at Grand Marais who helped her a lot in her later years. The family wishes to thank Dr. Badenhorst and all the staff at Selkirk General Hospital for their care of Roonie during her three and one-half month stay prior to moving to Oakview Place. The family also thanks the staff at Oakview Place for their care and compassion during her short stay there. The funeral service will be held at Wayside Gospel Chapel on Friday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by John Thomas. Interment to follow at Balsam Bay Cemetery. Donations in Roonies memory can be made to Faith Bible Camp, 795 Valour Rd., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3B3. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
