JOHN RAYMOND RICHARDS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, John Richards, aged 75 years, of Gimli, on July 15, 2003 at the Gimli Community Health Centre. John will be missed by his wife Betty; sons, Johnathan (Anne) and Patrick (Lynn) daughters, Lucy (Ken) and Jackie (Moses), his grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle, Ryan, Madelyn , Katelyn and Christopher, and also his sister Bette and family in England. Dad was born in Loppington, England in 1928. Dad and Mum where married in 1955 and moved to Winnipeg in 1957 where he was employed with the Winnipeg Transit for 27 years. Since retiring, Dad has lived in Gimli where he enjoyed family get-togethers. He also enjoyed spending time in his chair socializing at "The Oldie". We will always remember and miss Dad for his wonderful laid-back attitude towards life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the Gimli Community Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
