HELEN THOMPSON Peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre, Helen Thompson passed away at the age of 86 years. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Bradbury Thompson. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne (Roberta), Brian (Gloria), Gary (Vivian), her grandchildren and their families, Tracy, Terri, Jeff, Lisa, Brad, Rodney; her great-grandson Brett; as well as numerous other family members. Helen was employed with Eatons for 30 years in the "Fancy Goods". She enjoyed her time at Eatons and travelling with the Retirement Club and she was a member of their bowling league. She was a member of Ladies Missionary Group and Choir of the Zion Church. Helen took great pride in putting on Christmas and Easter dinners for her family, and loved to garden. Viewing will be held on Monday, July 21, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at Zion Apostolic Church, 305 Machray Ave., with Pastor Randy Wangle officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Schellenberg, Gerald Krystalowich, Dave Hunter, Gary Koralewicz, Brad Thompson and Jeff Thompson. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care as well as the Health Sciences Centre, in particular Dr. Nasson.
