Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALISON DELIKATNY 1922 - 2003 Agnes Alison Delikatny (nee Maddison), aged 81, of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday evening, June 30, 2003. Alison is survived by her three children, Jim (Hazel) of Havertown, Pennsylvania, Brenda and Bruce both of Winnipeg and grandchildren, Ted, Kate and Paul, Adam; brother Murray (Leah) Maddison of Carman, as well as by many relatives. She was born in Carman, MB, and moved to Winnipeg. She learned bookkeeping at the Angus Business College where she met Ted Delikatny, her loving husband of 40 years until his death in August of 1990. Alison successfully juggled raising a family, and worked at a variety of regular and volunteer jobs, as well as tending to a large garden plot where Alison and Ted provided fresh vegetables to friends and neighbours. As retirement years settled in, the garden became smaller, but still provided hours of enjoyment for her. She was actively involved in the Church of St. Stephen & St. Bede and the Royal Canadian Legions No. 4 (Winnipeg) and No. 182 (Gimli). Her outlook on life was love. Always open, candid and honest, her common sense and humourous wit will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. A celebration of Alisons life will be held at Church of St. Stephen & St. Bede, 99 Turner Ave., Monday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Society, Manitoba Heart and Stroke, The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede Memorial Fund or the charity of your choice.
