ARTHUR THOMAS MOUG Arthur Thomas Moug, a longtime resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away peacefully July 16, 2003 at the QEII. Art was born September 19, 1926 in Charleswood, (Winnipeg), MB. Art will be sadly missed by Eva, his wife of 49 years; his son Bill and special friend Brenda and daughter Meghan; daughter Nancy and her daughter Annie; son Tom and daughters Sarah, Rebecca and Delania; son Ted, his wife Lynne and daughters Katie, Jessica, Hannah and Emma; daughter Jennifer, her husband James and daughter Penelope; and his sister Jean Omand of Winnipeg. Art is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William and Annie; his sister Jessie Revell; and brothers, Bill, Jim and Walter; and grandson Ryan Moug. Art served as Mayor of Charleswood, MB and also served as the Conservative MLA in the constituency at Charleswood, MB. Art was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 100. Lifetime member of the Scottish Rite, the Charleswood Masonic Lodge, branch 163, The Circus Daddy Club Khartum Temple. Art was also a Lifetime Member of Charleswood Historical Society. In 1980 Art moved his family to Grande Prairie and started S.O.S. Safety which he successfully operated until his passing. In his retiring years, Art enjoyed fishing, and hunting in the Peace Country and on Vancouver Island. Art and Eva travelled extensively throughout the world and also spent the last 12 winters in Yuma, AZ. Art will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, St. Pauls United Church, 10206 100th Ave. Grande Prairie. Interment to follow at Grande Prairie Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for tea and fellowship at the Golden Age Center. In lieu of flowers - donations may be made to The Crohns & Colitis Foundation of Canada.
