Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE CONNER (SLUTCHUK) Rose Conner passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003, just three and one-half hours short of her 90th birthday, at Seven Oaks Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Phil; her parents, Rebecca and Alex; and brother Sam and sister-in-law Leah; brother Max and sister-in-law Helen of New York. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Wiseman (Barrie) and adored granddaughter Rochelle Fielding (Tim) of Texas; and brother-in-law Daniel Leibl of California. Her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews. Mom was a great cook and baker and all the family and friends enjoyed her packages of goodies she gave to all who came over to her house and also whenever she was invited out she took her baking with her to give out. Her greatest hobby was knitting doll clothes outfits and dressing them which she gave freely to Childrens Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Seven Oaks Hospital Gift Shop, and also all and to other charities, also to her family. Mom was a long-time employee of Pennington Garden City. Graveside funeral was held on Monday, July 7 at the Hebrew Sick Benefit, with Rabbi Balser officiating. Pallbearers were her nephews, Arnold, Steven, Michael, Neil and Morley Conner and Norman Yussim. Honorary pallbearers were her great-nieces Debbie Yussim and Audrea Roitenberg. A big thanks to the nurses of Unit 7 - 5th floor of the Seven Oaks Hospital. Also a special thanks to her friends Penny Esaruk and Ann Pomanski.
