AUGUST HORN Peacefully, on July 17, 2003 at the Central Park Lodge, August passed away at the age of 95 years. August Horn was born November 27, 1907 in the Greenwald District of Beausejour. He later moved with his family to the Starbuck district in 1912. He farmed with his family in the Sanford, La Salle, and Oak Bluff districts. He enjoyed farming, restructuring of things and woodworking. August curled at Pembina Curling Club, and he loved to golf. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. August retired from farming in 1971 and relocated to Winnipeg in 1988. He loved to travel and enjoyed many winters spent in Texas. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Anna-Marie Horn, Henry, George, William, Rhynard, Wilfred, Andrew, Fred, Jack and sister Natalie. August is survived by his loving wife Margaret, sister Mary Ulstad of Winnipeg, and brother Leo Horn of Sun Lakes, AZ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Rev. Milly Malavsky officiating.
