DAVID RICHARD SCHOFIELD 1923 - 2003 Peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2003 David passed away at the Selkirk and District General Hospital at the age of 79 years. David is survived by his children, Robert, Barry, Blanche and Diane; as well as three sisters, Dorothy, Edna and Lena. He will be sadly missed by his close friends, George Fox and his family, Jerry Fey and his family and Janet Cruse and her family. Many thanks go to the Fox and Fey families for their help and concern for David these last months. Also thanks to Hazel who phoned and dropped in regularly. Born and raised in Petersfield, David had been employed at the Selkirk Mental Hospital. He loved the outdoors, especially the Netley Creek and marsh area. His happiest times were spent with animals and nature. David was well known in Selkirk for his lawn mower repair business, a hobby after retirement. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Davids wishes, there will be no service. Those wishing may donate to a charity of their choice. CROSSING THE BAR Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me. And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea.
