A. SHIRLEY DICKSON (nee BARLEY) On July 19, 2003, at the Grace Hospital, Alice Shirley Dickson passed away. Shirley was predeceased by her mother and father, sisters, Ethel (Bud) Meyers, Nellie Barley, Florence Barley, and Mona (John) Nowek; brothers, Herbert (Gladys) Barley and Roland (Phyllis) Barley. She is survived by one sister Mae (Jim) Merrells and numerous nieces and nephews plus a special friend Maureen Collier and Collier families in Twassen and Prince George, BC. Shirley enjoyed going for morning coffee with her friends at Sunset Lodge where they would enjoy good laughs together. The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Harris and her team in the Oncology Department, nurses on 3W and 4W, especially Gloria and Carolyn and Dr. J Elkin and Debbie at Assiniboine Clinic. As per Shirleys wishes, she has been cremated and there will be no funeral service. Should friends desire, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
