LEIGH GORDON NEWMAN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother, Leigh Newman, aged 56 years, of Gimli, on July 19, 2003 at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Leigh will be remembered and deeply missed by his mother Margaret, brother Guy (Alice), his niece Denise, his nephew David, and the staff and residents of the Husigim Home in Gimli. Leigh will be missed for his unique sense of humour, good natured teasing, and compassion towards others. He possessed a love of music and an inquisitive mind, a man of a million questions. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the valiant efforts of the emergency response unit and the medical staff at the Gimli Health Centre and also to the Husigim staff for their patience and caregiving over the years. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church. Interment of ashes will follow in the Inwood Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in Leighs memory to the Heima Er Best Inc., Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
