Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDUNCAN (DUKE) DUNN Born in Neepawa, MB on September 14, 1912, and passed away in his 91st year at the Delta Hospital on July 18, 2003. He was predeceased by his wife Becky and daughter-in-law Marlene. He is survived by his son Bill; daughter Carole (Bob) Baturin; grandchildren, Jeff Baturin, Karen (John) Doricic, Greg (Anita) Baturin and Kylie Dunn; his great-grandchildren, Sara, Amy, Matthew, Devan and Ryan; his sisters, Jean Simmons, Lil Vesey and Betty Hunt; sisters-in-law, Nancy Walker and Winnie Brough; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. At the age of 19, Duke moved to Winnipeg to begin his career as a butcher, employed with Eatons and Safeway. After 13 years he opened Dunns Meats & Groceries on Portage Avenue and had a most successful business for 29 years. Following retirement, he and Becky spent many years travelling, with winters in British Columbia and the south and summers at Grand Beach. Dad loved to curl and golf. Throughout his life, Dad enjoyed his family, his many walks with the grandchildren and we all loved to hear his stories and jokes. Dad was a member of the Windsor Lodge No. 138 Masonic order since 1945. He is loved and will be missed by all. Many thanks to Drs. Magnuson, Leung and the staff at the Delta Hospital for their care of Dad. A private funeral service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Delta Hospital Foundation, 5800 Mountain View Blvd., Delta, BC V4K 9Z9 would be appreciated.
