ROSE "ROZ" ELLAM (nee HALLDORSON) Roz was born on January 18, 1925 in the Lillesve district of Manitoba, passed away peacefully in her 78th year at Providence Hospital on July 19, 2003, daughter of the late Snaebjorn "Barney"(1967) and Gudney Halldorson (Sigurdson) (1975). She is survived by siblings, Leo Halldorson, Fjola Johnson and Johanna Alfred; and predeceased by siblings, Errika Cox, Lilja Ford and Jonas Halldorson. Roz is survived by the father of her five children, Douglas Write Ellam of Meaford, ON. Mother to Hughie (predeceased), Douglas George (predeceased), Shawne Suzanne, Warren Scott and Lauren Julia Margaret. Grandmother "Amma" to Shaun-Marie and Kory Bryson. Lovingly remembered by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews including her beloved cousin Hazel Magnussen of Winnipeg. Roz, one of the three founding members of the Art Guild of Scarborough, loved painting, teaching arts and crafts, and was very active member in a number of community events. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Otto Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating.
