LINDA RUTH ZOLINSKI December 10, 1943 - July 18, 2003 Peacefully at Riverview Hospital, Linda Zolinski went to be with the Lord after a very long battle with cancer. Linda was predeceased by her husband Mike in October 2002. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Karla Grafton, Karen (Doug) Rennie, and Lisa (Phil) Allison. Linda is survived by her sister Gloria (Ken) of Edmonton, and brother Murray ( Sylvia) of Bashaw. Grandma always made sure the grandchildren; Michael, Sarah, Aaron, Hannah, Samantha, Ruth, Joel and Nathan were spoiled, and will remember the Circus, Ice Capades or Chuckee Cheeses. Linda was born in Yorkton, SK and resided in Willowbrook until the family moved to Flin Flon, MB. There she met and married her husband Mike. Her interests included bowling, curling and music but because of her health challenges and family obligations, many of these interests were put on hold. After moving to Winnipeg she enjoyed things like ceramics and knitting, and became quite the cake decorator as well as apple pie and butter tart maker. Linda was a committed wife and mother. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, giving her strength one day at a time. She was a very private woman, that endured many challenges without complaint for her needs. She felt her role was best fulfilled behind the scenes, supporting her daughters in many areas of their lives and supporting people less fortunate in other countries like Haiti. She had a great sense of humour once you got to know her. Thanks to many family and friends and medical people who helped mom these many years, especially the last year. To the people of WEFC that supported and encouraged mom in so many ways. Denis and Elaine, your friendship and dedication was a blessing and security net for mom. Nikki, words cannot express our gratitude for the friend you were to mom at the most difficult time of her life. We feel privileged to call you all friends. To the staff at Riverview, particularly Bonnie and Wayne, your personalized care and sense of humour were an encouragement. A celebration of Lindas life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 26, 2003, at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church. Donations in memory of Linda can be made to Emmanuel International.
