SAM KUSH On Monday, July 21, 2003, Mr. Sam Kush passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years in the Pine Falls Hospital. To cherish his memory, he is survived by his sister Rose Smorang; sister-in-law Helen Kush; nephews, Carl (Fern) Smorang, Ken (Gail) Smorang, Don (Delores) Smorang, David (June) Kush; nieces Joan Kellett (Sandy) and Lynn Cote (Art). Sam was predeceased by his brother Nick Kush in 1999 and brother-in-law Nick Smorang in 1985. Sam was born in Walklyburg, MB. He moved to Pine Falls in 1947 and worked for the Abitibi Price Paper Company in the Finishing Room. He retired in 1986 after 39 years of service. In his retirement Sam took several trips as well as enjoying fishing, bowling, gardening and volunteering for the Lions Club. The family expresses a special thank you to Dr. Oelofse and the staff of the Pine Falls Hospital for their wonderful care. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sams life will be held on Friday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. from the Anglican Church of the Advent, Pine Falls, MB., with Rev. Brad Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Anglican Church of the Advent, 2 Holly St., Pine Falls, MB R0E 1M0.
