KATHERINE LAW It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Law announces her passing at age 92 on July 22, 2003. Katherine will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Elsie, Erna (Ian), Marion (Brian), Glenn (Darlene), Ed (Judy), Dorothy, Barbara (Ralph) 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Herman and one sister Helen. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Edward; infant son David; sisters, Betty, Mary, Annie, and brother Jake. Kay went to be with our Lord and Saviour whom she faithfully served all her life. She was an active longtime member of the Lutheran Church where she shared her love of singing with the church choir until she was 88 years of age. Katherine was born in Halbstadt, MB, moved to Morris, MB in 1941 where she resided until 1990 when she moved to Winnipeg. In her later years she enjoyed travelling and especially cherished her four trips to Israel. She became very involved in quilting and made over a thousand quilts and over a thousand layettes, which were donated to Lutheran World Relief. A generous and caring lady, she welcomed family and friends into her home and always extended a helping hand to those in need. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Misericordia Health Care Centre and Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg, on Friday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. Interment will take place at the Morris Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2003. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Katherine Laws memory to Faith Lutheran Church (Building Fund) or a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
