GAIL ELAINE LEADER (nee PURDOM) Peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 20, 2003, Gail passed away at the age of 64. Born on February 24, 1939 in Winnipeg to Lawrence and Ruth. Gail is survived by seven children, David, Eleanor (Brian), Eric (Andrea), James (Jaime), Jennifer (Shaun), Philip (Chelsey), Ian (Marika) her brother Keith (Pat) Purdom; sister Lorraine (Bob) Crook; and eight grandchildren, Justin, Johnathon, Joseph, Brandon, Conner, Michael, Colin and Kamryn. Gail is predeceased by her loving husband Alvin and her son Timothy. Gail had a special love for animals, music, movies and crafts. As a teenager, she enjoyed horsebackriding, figure skating and dreamed of someday swimming the English Channel. Gail was a loving mother and grandma. A faithful friend and devoted Christian. She will be sadly missed. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m., at Washington Avenue Fellowship, 425 Washington Ave. with interment in Brookside Cemetery.
