GERALD MARTIN WICKS On July 22, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital, Gerald Martin Wicks passed away at the age of 67 years. Born in Paddockwood, SK, on May 18, 1936. His family moved to Melita, MB, where he spent his school years. He entered the priesthood and spent 11 years as a Padre with the R.C.A.F. He left the priesthood, married and had three children, Erin, Debbie and David (Tamy) two grandchildren, all of Kamloops, BC. He spent many years working for the Government in Churchill. Due to ill health, he had to retire and settled in Winnipeg. We will all miss him as he was a very creative person and loved his music and crafts. He was a member of Legion No. 90. He will be sadly missed by his companion, Mary Edwards and her son Grant Edwards. It was Martins wish that his body be donated to Medical Science. Special thanks to Victoria Hospital, Dr. Boyd, H. P. Club and Fr. Morand. A service will be held at Victoria Hospital Chapel, 10:00 a.m. August 5. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.
