MARY PETKAU 1931 - 2003 On Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, Mary Petkau (nee Penner), aged 71, of Myrtle, formerly of Winkler, went to her eternal rest. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Abram Jake Petkau with whom she shared their 50th wedding anniversary on July 19; three daughters, Elizabeth and husband Robert Allen of Winnipeg, Marjorie and husband Pat Allen of Mulvihill, Kathy Petkau and fiance Darren of Morris; five sons, Marvin and wife Janet of Winnipeg, David and wife Valerie of Winnipeg, Brian and fiance Heather of Steinbach, Arthur and wife Chaira of Winnipeg, Gary and wife Monica of Winnipeg and 13 grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister and five brothers. Viewing will take place Thursday, July 24 at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121-8th St., Winkler, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2:00 p.m. at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, 189-2nd St., Rev. Abe Heppner officiating. Interment will follow at the Wingham Cemetery.
