DONNA LOIS DRAPER (nee LONGMUIR) Peacefully on the morning of July 23, 2003 at East Gate Lodge, Donna Lois Draper (nee Longmuir), aged 69 years of Beausejour, MB., passed away. Donna was born in Winnipeg on August 21, 1933 and raised in Grandview, MB. While working at the Grandview Bank of Commerce she met her husband Donald Longmuir. Together they moved to Swan River where she worked in the local TD Bank. Shortly thereafter they moved to Dauphin and started their family. In 1962 Donna and Don moved to Beausejour. Donna worked several jobs and continued her education before accepting an accounting position with East Gate Lodge. She later married Lorne Draper and together they owned and operated the Sharl Inn near Marathon, ON., and wintered in Beausejour. After Lornes passing in 1997 Donna returned to the home she loved in Beausejour. Donna was an avid curler and enjoyed many years as a member of the Beausejour Curling Club. She was an active member of the United Church, UCW and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Donna could often be found knitting sweaters and slippers for family and friends. Her many interests also included watching figure skating, bird watching and visiting with her great-grandchildren whenever she could. Donna leaves to cherish her children, Brent Longmuir, Lori Mastaler (Greg), Graig Longmuir, Karen Weger (Rob) her grandchildren, Tammy Laderoute (Joey) and Zain Mastaler; her great-grandchildren, Tristan and Mya Laderoute. Also surviving are her sisters, Rita Heaps (Jim) and Audrey Stevens as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Effie Robertson; husband Lorne and brother-in-law Lyall Stevens. We love you mom and miss you very much. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, July 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, MB. Funeral services will also be held at the Chapel on Monday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
