JOHN (JACK) BAIRD SCOTT FREEMAN Jack passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the age of 65. Jack was born in Winnipeg to William and Dorothy Freeman. He is survived by his children, Curt, Derrick and Teri-Ann (Wes) Oryschak; grandchildren, Ryan, Dale, Tye, Calvin and Maclain, all of Victoria, BC. He also leaves his mother Dorothy A. Freeman of Winnipeg, brothers, Art (Pearl) Freeman of Calgary, AB, Bruce (Dianne) Freeman of Lockport, MB, Joseph A. Freeman of Winnipeg; sisters, Noreen Luke of Lethbridge, AB and Beatrice Jennings of Winnipeg; and also many nieces, nephews and relatives. Jack was schooled in St. Vital and went on to a 25 year career in the Navy. Upon retirement, he returned to Winnipeg where he took on the responsibilities of looking after his Mom and Dad. He took a part time job at the Dakota Hotel, where he made many friends. Jack was predeceased by his father William in 1985. He continued to care for his mother until his passing. Jack was a loving, caring and kind person, loyal to his family and friends. He will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place and a service celebrating Jacks life will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacks memory to a charity of choice. "REST IN PEACE, JACK" The Coutu family in care of arrangements: EDWARD J.
