BENJAMIN HENDERSON Peacefully, on July 23, 2003, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Benjamin was predeceased by his parents, McRae and Jamima, brothers, Frank and Phillip. Benjamin was born November 12, 1945 in Pine Falls, Manitoba. After attending high school in Portage La Prairie, MB, he spent his life working as a labourer in many fields in many different provinces. In his final years on earth, he enjoyed his job as a fishing guide. His greatest love outside his family, was the game of hockey. Sports was also one of his passions. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Russell (Lillian), Stanley (Yvonne), John (Lucy), Robert (Heather) his children, Christine, Terry (Valerie), Blaine, and youngest child Roberta. Benjamin leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. His charm and wit attracted many friends over the years. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Wake services, Saturday, July 26 to Sunday, July 27 and burial to be held at Christ Anglican Church, Fort Alexander, Manitoba, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Bruyere. Pallbearers will be Donavin Fontaine, Randall Henderson, Vince Henderson, Darren Fontaine, Kelly Henderson (Courchene), Russell Spence. All his friends are considered honorary pallbearers.
