Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILIAN DORIS HUNT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother who died peacefully at the Selkirk General Hospital on Friday, July 25, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1998, after 57 years of marriage. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Peter, Bob (Jeri) and Dianne (Jack) grandchildren, Tricia, Dale, Mandy (Rob) and Denny; and great-grandchildren, Cole, John, Jordan, Samantha and Nicholas. Lilian was born in Upwey, England on December 27, 1917, where she lived, met and married her husband Bill in 1941. She came to Canada as a warbride and settled in Clandeboye. In 1950 she moved to Selkirk where they remained and raised their family. Lilian was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She loved to spend hours knitting, doing needlepoint and watching and playing game shows. She devoted her life to raising her children and later helping raise her grandchildren. In her declining years she resided at the Red River Place Personal care home, where she will be remembered earlier on for her unique entertaining personality. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment to follow in the Clandeboye United Churchyard. Her pallbearers will be Dale Hunt, Rob Hordyski, Jack McLachlan, Denny Hunt, Danny Hunt and Jerry Coumont. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff at Red River Place for the excellent care she received. We would also like to thanks the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, 120 Donald St. Wpg., Mb. R3C 4G2. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
