NEIL A. MacMILLAN January 12, 1916 - July 23, 2003 The family of Neil A. MacMillan wishes to announce his passing on July 23, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital. Neil is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Margaret (Peggy) his daughters Joan (Ron) Rentz, Sandy MacMillan of Winnipeg and Bernice (Ray) Newson of Burnaby, B.C. also son-in-law Jim Pointon of Winnipeg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons David and Russell and his daughter Neila. Neil was born in Winnipeg and lived here most of his life. He spent his adult life as a salesman, retiring from Singer Sewing Machine Co. in 1979. Peggy and Neil really enjoyed their years with their square dancing friends. They spent their retirement years in Ponemah in the summer and joined their friends in Plant City, Florida in the winter. The family thanks Dr. Hugh Taylor for his patience and kindness and the nurses and staff of 5E, 7E and 4E with special mention to Jennifer, Ruth and Kirk. Special thanks also to Michael and family for being such faithful visitors. At Neils request cremation has taken place. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 30 with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, Hespeler and Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neils memory may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
