DAVID MILNER Peacefully on July 25, 2003, after a lengthy battle with cancer, David passed away at the age of 79 at the Jocelyn House. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley, children, Mark, Bob (Heather), Douglas (Sharon), Fran (John Mortham) and Janet (Stuart Crawford) grandchildren, Poppy, Jill, Eric, Sean, Erin, Aaron, Alexander, Colin, and Katryna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. David was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Signal Corp, The Royal Winnipeg Rifles, and Canadian Intelligence Corp. Following the war he worked for the Department of Agriculture in Manitoba as an accountant for 34 years until his retirement in 1988. Through his work he was actively involved with the MGEA. Throughout his life he was an active member with the St. James Legion #4 and the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Association. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception immediately following the service. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jocelyn House, 177 Eggerton, R2M 2W7 or a charity of your choice.
