CHARLES DOUGLAS SNEESBY December 16, 1916 - July 26, 2003 On July 26, 2003, Charles passed away at the Portage General Hospital at the age of 86 years. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean of 38 years and his two sons Allan (Kelly) and Murray (Brenna) six grandsons, Ryan, Tyson, Matthew, Hayden, Cole and Jonathan; and siblings, Arthur, Argyle, Doris, Grace, Phyllis, Angus, and Gerald. In addition to his parents, Albert and Jean, he was predeceased by brother Bruce and sisters, Thelma, Barbara, Beatrice and Darlene. After working on the family farm near Neepawa, Charles moved to Winnipeg and worked as a delivery driver. He developed his carpentry skills in Rivers before moving to Neepawa in 1960 to start his own carpentry business. He continued to work and never really retired until his later years. He was fond of showing his woodworking crafts to anybody who passed by the workshop and especially his grandsons with a trip to the basement. He was very personable and enjoyed many family outings to sporting events and camping trips. Charles was also a dedicated Mason for many years at the Neepawa Masonic Lodge. The family would like to thank Dr. Chapman for his care over the last number of years, the staff at Eastview Lodge and the Neepawa Hospital, and also his many friends and neighbours. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Charles can be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, Westman Region, 437-9th St., Brandon, MB R7A 4A9. Funeral service will be held at the Neepawa United Church on Wednesday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. George Cargo officiating. Whites Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
