JAN (JOHN) GROENHEIDE After being without his beloved Nel for six months Jan Groenheide left this world to be reunited with her for eternity on July 27, 2003. He was 79 years old. Dad is survived by his eight children and their families: daughters, Marion (Jerry) Bakker of Thunder Bay, Shirley (Bill) Davidson of Ottawa; sons, Jack (Tini) of Oakbank, Greg (Lorraine) of Oakbank, Bill (Jenny) of Thunder Bay, Ronald of Stonewall, Jim (Jeanette) of Oakbank, Jeff of Ottawa; numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Nel, his daughter Wilhemina and three of his sisters in Holland. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m. in Covenant Christian Reformed Church at 653 Knowles Ave. Private family interment will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank for all their care and support given to Mom and Dad.
