Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN BERNICE MARMONIER (nee BEAUDRY) July 3, 1932 - July 27, 2003 After a lengthy illness it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mom was born in Ashern July 3, 1932. She married Gibbie on June 16, 1956. During many years of working on the family farm in Gunton, she had a huge garden and spent many hours canning vegetables and fruit, making jam, the endless baking and her flowerbed. She was always willing to lend a helping hand for the Gunton Hall and the United Church. After her illness she took up her crafts. She enjoyed her day group on Wednesdays, her friends there, and especially the drivers of the handivan. Mom will be greatly missed by her husband Gibbie of 47 years; daughters, Mary Sveinson (Glenn) of Winnipeg and Linda Cook (Doug) of Gunton; sons, Brian (Val), Larry and Glenn, all of Gunton; grandchildren, Leann Sveinson, Rhonda (Jeff S.), Jeff (Ashley), Jolene and Shawn Cook; great-granddaughter Emily. She is survived by sister Margaret Kufus of Ashern; brother Bill (Eileen) of Kelowna, BC; sister Aleida (John) of Ashern, sister Velma Gutknecht of Ashern, and brother-in-law Bill Forbes of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her mother Annie, and father William; her brothers, Henry, Albert, Clifford, George and sister Mabel. Prayers will be held Wednesday, July 30 at the McKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service and lunch will be held Thursday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gunton Hall with Rev. Ken Anstie officiating. Interment will follow in Windsor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Shawn Cook, Jeff Marmonier, Jeff Stasiuk, nephews, Les Forbes, Kevin Gutknecht, and neighbour Jim Mott. Her family and friends should all be considered her honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank our Dad for the years of care he gave Mom so she could remain at home. The many friends and relatives for their kind and caring support during Moms illness. We also sincerely appreciate the help of the Teulon and district handivan drivers, the home care workers, and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Teulon Hospital for their continuing support and care of Mom. Mom treasured her family, many friends and loved visiting over a cup of tea and a card game. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers if family and friends desire a memorial tribute may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital Foundation. When you think of me, smile! Ill be smiling then too. And Ill smile All the while When Im thinking of you. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of arrangements.
