Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA PAULLUS (MESOJEDNIK) August 3, 1920 - July 28, 2003 With saddened hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Anna, on the morning of Monday, July 28, 2003 at the age of 82. Anna Povsic was born and raised on a farm in Slovenia, Yugoslavia, one of 13 children. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her husband Walter Mesojednik and settled in North End Winnipeg. She endured many hardships and worked various jobs to ensure the well being and care of her six children. In the early seventies, Anna remarried Joe Paullus and lived in Courtney, BC for many years before retiring to Tyndall, MB in 1986. They prided themselves in looking after their yard and maintaining a large vegetable garden. Anna had a green thumb and her flower gardens were spectacular. We always looked forward to her homemade strawberry jam. She enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo and scrabble. She always had a good time on her outings to the casino, and most recently to the Beau-Head Seniors Centre, in Beausejour. Staying in her home after Joes passing would not have been possible without the help of family, friends, nurses and home care providers. The family would like to thank all who stopped in or phoned to brighten Annas days and help care for her. Anna will be lovingly missed by her children, Wally (Barb), Leo (Rita), Tony (Lorna), Ann Wachal (Bruce), Mary Butler (Mark) stepdaughters, Judy Harju, Josephine Murphy (Bob) and their families; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sisters and families in Europe. Anna was predeceased by her husband Joe, son John, grandson Michael, stepson-in-law John, stepson Jim and two infant sons. Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of Annas life will be held on Thursday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society, Manitoba Division, 400 - 141 Bannatyne Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3B OR3. Mourn not for me, my life is past You kindly loved me to the last Hug a loved one, make no delay For no one knows their dying day.
