MARIA DO CARMO (FELIZARDO) Peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2003, Maria Do Carmo passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by her family. Maria Do Carmo was born on Friday, December 16, 1910, in Amendoa, Portugal. She came to Canada in 1978, where she enjoyed a very rewarding life. Maria lived her many years to the fullest. Vovo cherished her grandchildren who brought her great joy, and she always proudly shared in family life events. Maria enjoyed crafts, gardening and taking the dog for a walk. Maria Do Carmo is held in loving memory by her children, Albino (Gracinda), Jose (Maria) of Portugal; grandchildren, Daniel (girlfriend Francesca), Daniel, Jose, Carlos and Paula of Portugal; extended family and friends; her husband Manuel; her sisters, Albertina and Martinha; and brother Jose Cardiga. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, July 30 (tonight) at 8:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St., with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
