Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTHA HEIMAN January 15, 1922 - July 25, 2003 The loving mother of seven children, Martha Heiman passed away Friday, July 25, 2003, at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home in Kenora, ON, at 81. Martha immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1928. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in the Swan River Valley. She was the wife of Herbert Heiman. Always willing to help in her community, Martha often offered respite care for parents of handicapped children and visited elderly shut-ins. She was especially active in her church and was a longtime volunteer and supporter of Meals on Wheels and the Red Cross. Surviving Martha are her children, Garry Heiman (Alice) of Cajamarca, Peru, Trudie Heiman of Takamatsu, Japan, Millie Stovel (Richard) of Toronto, ON, Carolyn Heiman (Wayne Jensen) of Victoria, BC, Darlene Heiman of Winnipeg and Christine Hansen (Greg) of Kenora; and brothers and sisters, Evelyn (Art Dykau) of Kelowna, BC, Fred (Ruth Henkelman) of Kelowna, Alice (John Heyen) of Lethbridge, AB; six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1998; a brother Ervin; and her son David. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Swan River Valley Hospital Foundation, Box 1450, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 30 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Swan River. Paull Funeral Home and Crematorium in care of arrangements.
