Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD LAUFERSWEILER 1915 - 2003 The lord relieved Dad of his suffering on July 28, 2003 at Victoria General Hospital. He is survived by his "plums" Margaret, with whom he shared 63 years of his life; his daughters, Lenore Loyns (Al) and Donna Schwark (Wayne) their children Alain Loyns, Dwight (Alodia) Schwark and Lisa Skrubis (Steve) and five great-grandchildren, Steven and Victoria Schwark, Chase and Kara Skrubis and Alarey Loyns. He is survived as well by his sister Evelyn Lochhead. He was predeceased by his father Rudy, mother Eva and two brothers, Walter and Alfred, and two sisters, Louise and Elsie. Dads place in the business world was one of which he was fiercely proud. He began to shape his business skills as a teenager under the tutelage of his father. He and brother Walter continued the business when Rudy passed away in the late 1940s and developed L & W Servicing into a thriving rural business. On retirement from L & W Servicing in 1967, Len and Margaret moved to Winnipeg for retirement. Soon he became Field Manager for Modern Dairies from which he retired again a decade later. In business and in daily living Dad demonstrated honesty, loyalty, kindness and generosity. he took pride in whatever he participated, always giving his best whether it was the challenge of skipping a team for a curling bonspiel or spinning a yarn with his buddies at the coffee club at the St. Vital Shopping Center. There are many people to thank for their concern, compassion and care; the nurses on the third and fifth floors at the Victoria Hospital, those special people at the Golden Door and Virginia, Marie and Donna. A memorial service will be held at Friedensthal Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined but those who wish may contribute to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrooke St.,Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Dad will be sorely missed and loved forever. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me. The crown of righteousness.
