Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINE KATHERINE SHAVER (WALKER) November 9, 1914 - July 30, 2003 After a short illness our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully with her family present to lovingly say goodbye. Chris was born November 9, 1914 in the RM of Westbourne and married Walter Shaver in 1944. She was predeceased by her husband, sisters Emilia, Caroline and Mary and also her brothers, Rudolph, Valentine (Valdine), Philip and John. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her loving son Jack (Liz) grandson Ryan (Julie) granddaughter Tara (boyfriend Sean) stepgrandchildren, Brian (Charlene) and Brent Bickell. Sharing in our loss are many nieces and nephews along with their families plus Ryan and Taras mother Venus and her family. She was everyones second mom and was always there to help or have family stay over at the house when they needed a place to stay. She was an excellent cook and always had, or made special for the occasion, a tray of brownies to share - be it at her house or if she was visiting. Many will remember the beautiful dresses and outfits she sewed for family and friends. She was an active member of Harrow United Church and for many years helped friends deliver Meals on Wheels. Although the eldest of the delivery team she was the "runner" who took the meals to the doors. In accordance with her wishes a memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 1 at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey St. with interment at Waverley Memorial Gardens (1501 Waverley St.) with Rev. Theresa Moysey officiating. Our thanks to Teresa for her loving support through this difficult time and also to the doctors and staff of Unit 1, 5 North of the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, Harrow United Church, or Meals on Wheels. Garry Memorial Funeral Home Cemetery and Cremation Centre 925-1120
