BERTHA MARGARET (BERT) McMAHON (nee SCHNEIDER) Peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2003, Bertha passed away at the Concordia Place Care Centre at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband John Leonard (Len) and her sister Mary Lewak. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Catherine; brother Sam Schneider (Phyllis) as well as her nieces and nephews. Mom will be remembered for her love of all things beautiful, whether it was music, art, design or nature. She was a longtime member of the Atlantic-Garden City United Church and enjoyed the fellowship and activities with the congregation. While living at 1080 Henderson Hwy., she was the Social Convenor for her neighbours and arranged numerous activities. Family was very important to her and she was a pillar of strength to all of us. A memorial service will be held at the Concordia Place Care Centre on Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Concordia Place Care Centre, 1000 Molson St., Winnipeg, MB R2K 4L5. "In my Fathers house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you.
