ARTHUR (JOHN) WHITE Peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the Grace Hospital with his two daughters Lesley and Gailene by his side, Arthur White passed away. "Arthur" was 87 years old. Arthur was predeceased by his loving wife Gweneth on May 14, 2000, after 60 years of happy marriage. He leaves to mourn his twin daughters, Lesley and Gailene; his only grandson Matthew Korotash; two sisters, Mary, Margaret; sister-in-law Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews. On July 26, 1916 Arthur was born in Calgary, AB. Arthur spent his earlier years with his then young wife "Gwenny" at Tofino on Vancouver Island, while in the Airforce as radio operator. He moved his family to Calgary, where they lived on two beautiful acres of land right on the Bow River. Arthur worked for the United Grain Growers as Corporate Secretary. He retired in 1982, with two months less of having 50 years of service. He had moved his family from Alberta in 1965 to live in Woodhaven, Winnipeg. During his retirement years he spent many summer hours on his hands and knees, as he was proud of his flowers. He devoted many hours to the Kiwanis Club of which he was a member. Arthur was a good provider for his family. Mom and Dad spent many hours enjoying and spending quality time with Matthew. His family always came first in his heart and in his home. He will also be sorely missed by those who had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man. A service and interment will be held in Calgary. LEATHERDALE GARDINER Funeral Chapel - St. James - 949-4872
