Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN GEORGE WILSON April 18, 1927 - July 30, 2003 In sudden passing and with great sadness, John George Wilson of Peguis First Nation, formerly of Winnipeg, passed from this to the next at the age of 76 years. After a lengthy struggle with a heart condition John passed amongst family and loved ones at his oldest sons home on July 30, 2003. John is survived by his wife Freda Joan Wilson of Peguis; his children, Yvonne (Claude) Bernier of Lorette, Ivan John (Brenda) Wilson of Peguis, Gilbert Tony (Diane) Wilson of BC, Walter Stewart (Ruby) Wilson, Ernest David (Denise) Wilson, Carol Ann (fiancee David Grant) Wilson and John Michael Shawn (Lori) Wilson; his grandchildren, Claude Jr., Ashley, Farelle, James, Evan, Christopher, Colin, Angel, Natasha, Christine, Jessica, Dakota, Jordan, Paige, Conrad, Cody, Cage and Sadie; his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Twyla, Alora, Tyrah, Hailey and Aidan; his sister Edna Lee of Winnipeg; and his brother Wilfred Wilson of Peguis. John will be joining his parents, Colin and Annie Wilson; his son, Colin Miles Wilson; his grandson, Scott Alexander Wilson; his two sisters, Bella Stevenson and Jenny Wilson; and his four brothers, Gordon, Alec, Fred and Edward. Johns greatest passions were his religion and farming of the land. In his most recent years, his sons, Shawn and David and nephew Calvin introduced him to his biggest passion, Mud bogging. Johns final thoughts were of his children and love of mud bogging. Special mention for his great-grandson Aidan, who is currently fighting his battle to stay with us. He will be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, god children and friends. A family wake service will be held on Saturday, August 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Ivan and Brendas residence in Peguis, MB. A wake service will also be held on Sunday, August 3 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both of these services will be held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church, Peguis, MB, with Rev.
