ANDRINA (ENA) SMITH GUYOT (nee GRAY) Peacefully, on July 31, 2003 at Riverview Health Care Centre, Andrina (Ena) Smith Guyot, at the age of 86 years, passed away, having lived a long and fulfilling life. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gilles Guyot in 1980; sister Molly Gray in 1984; brother-in-law Paul Goyot in 1988; sister-in-law Denise Morrish in 1994; and sister-in-law Monique Guyot in 2003. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob and his wife Karen Guyot; Lois Guyot and her daughter Lorraine and husband Gerry Turenne; her grandchildren, Jackie, John, Gab-Riel (Julie), Andrina, Rob, Kelly (Jay) and her two great-grandchildren, Evan and Jeremy. Also left to mourn her passing are brothers-in-law, Benoit Guyot and Bill Morrish; sisters-in-law, Odette Guyot, Leonic Guyot, and Simone Goyette; along with several nieces and nephews. Ena was born December 11, 1916 in Prince Rupert, BC and spent much of her childhood in the Queen Charlotte Islands. The family moved to Winnipeg during her teens. Ena attended and graduated from St. Johns Collegiate in Winnipeg. She worked as a secretary for the Grain Exchange where she met her future husband Gilles, whom she married in 1942. They lived in St. Boniface where they raised Bob and Lorraine. After raising her children, she resumed her secretarial career with Monk Goodwin until her retirement at the age of 65. She enjoyed travelling across Canada, from coast to coast, and did so on several occasions, accompanied by her husband. After retiring, she travelled with friends and family to China, Alaska and Hawaii and volunteered in many different ways with the Childrens Hospital. Enas knowledge of and passion for gardening was something she shared with everyone who came by the house, as she toured them around the yard, proudly pointing out her favourite blooms. Bob and Lorraine would like to thank the staff of 3 West at the Riverview Health Centre for the loving care and support they gave their mother during these past few months. A memorial service celebrating Enas life will be held on Tuesday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
