Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA JANE WOODHOUSE (nee MURDOCK) February 2, 1946 - August 2, 2003 It is with great sorrow and sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Maria Woodhouse of Winnipeg, MB. Maria was born on February 2, 1946 to Murray and Clara Murdock of Fisher River Cree Nation. Maria leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Jane (Robert Sinclair), Myrna, and Carol (Frank) sons, Calvin (Darlene), Garry (Kim), and Vincent; the father of their children, Raymond Woodhouse of Fairford; and her companion Brian Orvis; 14 grandchildren, special grandson John; many nieces, nephews and friends; sisters, Ida (Hiebert) McKay of Fisher River, Merle (Herb) Collins of Riverton, Lydia (Joe) Murdock of Winnipeg, and Terry (Mervin) Houle of Sandy Bay; brothers, Paul Murdock of Fisher River, and Allan (Pat) Murdock of Fisher River; special sister-in-law Charlotte Murdock of Winnipeg. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Murray and Clara Murdock; brothers, Norman, Henry, Albert, Myles, and Stanley; sisters, Gladys and Marion; nephews and nieces, Paul Murdock, Arthur McKay, Norman McKay, Laura Murdock, and Lori Murdock. Maria was a well liked person, who always helped others. She always made people laugh. Maria did a lot of volunteer work for many organizations. Maria loved being around her brothers, sisters, and the rest of her family. "Were taking you home sister." A wake service will be held on Wednesday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southeast Pentecostal Church, 265 Flora Ave., Winnipeg, MB. A wake service will be held on Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River, MB with Asst.
