Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ZABOROSKY December 27, 1921 - August 3, 2003 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing, with his family by his side, of our dear father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli on August 3, 2003. Charles was predeceased by his wife Eleanor in 2001, father Phillip in 1970, mother Ann in 1990, and sister Phyllis in 1990. He is survived by his son Lorentz Zaborosky (Phyllis) daughter Jane Kutcher (Rayme) stepson Gordon Willison (Mary) brother Raymond Zaborosky (Pat) grandchildren, Kim Bahniuk (Jamie), Brenda Brown (Randy), Greg Zaborosky, Kurtis and Kelsey Kutcher; and great-grandchildren, Kristin and Taylor Bahniuk, Kayl Brown, D.J. and McKenzie Willison; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was proud to have served in the Second World War as a wireless operator in a tank. He worked with the Department of National Defence until his retirement. His greatest pleasures in life were his grandchildren, and was known by all the youngsters as the "Candy Man". The family would like to thank Dr. R.C. Patel, nurses, and nurses aides of the Johnson Memorial Hospital. A special thanks to Brenda Krulicki, Lucille, Colleen, Gloria, Linda, Penny, the rest of the home care workers, and to Kim, for their patience, assistance, and wonderful care, that allowed Charlie to spend as long as possible at home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior to service, in the Winnipeg Beach United Church, with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Interment to follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the Winnipeg Beach Legion, following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Nurses Fund, in care of Sandi Reimer. Pallbearers will be Greg Zaborosky, Jamie Bahniuk, Randy Brown, Rayme Kutcher, Kurtis Kutcher, and Raymond Zaborosky. Gilbarts Funeral Home (Selkirk and Gimli), in care of arrangements. There will always be an empty space in our hearts, But because of you, We can overfill it with wonderful memories, Your wish has come true, For now Grandma is with you, We love you with all our hearts.
