JAMES TRENWITH BOURKE March 12, 1917 - July 27, 2003 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, "Tren", after a long, valiant-fought battle. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary, daughter Susan, and son Timothy (Ginette). From his birth in St. James (Winnipeg), MB until his reunion with God, Tren led a life of service: in the Second World War, served in the Air Force; past president of the Royal Canadian Legion in St. James and member of Branch No. 118 (North Vancouver) past master of the Masons in St. James, Lodge No. 121; lay reader and active church member of the Anglican church in Winnipeg and North Vancouver; worked as a District Pension Advocate for veterans in Winnipeg and Vancouver. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bard and the staff of Evergreen House and Lions Gate Hospital. A memorial service will be held at St. Catherines Anglican Church, North Vancouver, on August 6 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, 406 - 1124 Lonsdale, North Vancouver, BC; and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. - Daniel 12:3
